Hanmere Sack vs Paper Sack
An established dried condiments processor was importing printed paper sacks with a polythene inner liner. Due to the polythene liner these bags could not be recycled at the disposal point and could only be landfilled. The processor needed a recyclable option to eliminate 193 T’s PA of packaging going into landfill.

- Weight per 1,000 sacks = 398.00kgs
- Annual Volume = 485,000
- Landfill tonnage = 193 T’s PA

Hanmere HanKraft Landfill Saving
Current paper sack has a blue polythene inner that is glued to the paper sack. This cannot be recycled and its likely destination after use is landfill or incineration. The Hankraft sack can be recycled back to plastic pellet and re-used in non-food contact applications
