We are pleased to announce that we have now developed a new film that has surpassed previous achievements and achieved M&S G4 standards at 29 micron, a reduction of 17% against the industry standard.
If you are a packaging supplier into M&S, you will be aware of the G4 requirements that are specified for the supply of blue bags and polythene liners. We have been at the forefront of supply for the household name since G4 was first introduced and have been listed as a preferred supplier since its inception.
Using advanced polymers and manufacturing techniques, Hanmere is already UKAS accredited at 30 micron. Other companies within this supply chain have tended not to achieve this standard and opted to manufacture at + 35micron.
As the industry strives for plastic reductions, this will reduce polythene usage further, whilst still maintaining the highest quality standards required for such a prestige packaging standard.
